About The Position

The position involves basic new pneumatic and electric actuator valve assembly, including tubing, setting stops, limit switches, positioner setup, solenoid tubing electric actuator valve assembly, setting torque, limit switches, and testing. The role requires adherence to company standards and quality procedures in the assembly and testing processes.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of industry experience.
• Some prior automated valve assembly experience.
• Successful completion of Isolation Valve & Automation Technician Level I Written and Performance Test.
• Successful completion of required training outlined in the technician certification program.
• Demonstrated proficiency in lapping, testing, and applicable codes and standards.
• Basic mechanical skills and mathematical skills.
• Ability to use measurement equipment.
• Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Basic understanding of air supply pressure and input signals (3-15# and 4-20 mA).
• Basic OSHA and TWIC card (if required).
• Basic oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers.

• Demonstrated mechanical skills.
• Ability to demonstrate a 'can do' attitude and excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble pneumatic and electric actuator valves including tubing.
• Set stops and limit switches.
• Perform positioner setup and solenoid tubing assembly.
• Set torque and limit switches.
• Conduct testing of assembled valves.
• Follow Quality Standardization Procedures for all aspects of valve assembly and testing.
• Learn valve repair according to company standards.
• Recognize missing parts during assembly.
• Use various shop equipment including test stands and machining equipment under close supervision.
