About The Position
The position is for a Pharmacy Technician in the Home Infusion department at Advocate Health. The role is full-time, requiring 40 hours per week with rotating day shifts from 8am to 4:30pm or 9am to 5:30pm. The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for dispensing and delivering medications accurately and timely, demonstrating competence in automated dispensing and storage devices, troubleshooting dispensing issues, and preparing both non-sterile and sterile products in accordance with USP standards. The technician will also be responsible for entering medication orders into the computer system and navigating the electronic medical record to facilitate patient care. The role involves utilizing automation and technology to maintain equipment, addressing customer and team member concerns, triaging phone calls, assisting in training pharmacy team members, and complying with legal and regulatory standards.
