About The Position

Express Employment International is seeking a skilled ITSM (ServiceNow) Engineer to join the corporate based Enterprise Architecture team. The ITSM Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining high-quality solutions on the platform in accordance with architectural designs and established enterprise standards. Working closely with Architects, the role includes providing informed input to refine designs and standards, evaluating proposed solutions for alignment and effectiveness, maintaining accurate and up-to-date technical documentation, managing the technical components of assigned projects, supporting system upgrades, and serving as an escalation point for complex technical issues. This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the enhancement and optimization of enterprise processes through reliable, scalable implementations. This position sits within our Oklahoma City-based corporate office, currently with an expectation to be onsite five (5) days per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a closely related field; equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience developing, configuring, and implementing enterprise solutions on the ServiceNow platform, with demonstrated success in delivering scalable, production-ready outcomes
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification required
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification required, or ability and commitment to obtain within 6 months of hire
  • In-depth knowledge of key ServiceNow modules and their practical application, including ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, HRSD, CSM, GRC, and related areas to address complex business requirements
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow development and scripting technologies, including JavaScript (server-side and client-side), Glide APIs, PowerShell, AngularJS, HTML, CSS, and associated web technologies
  • Strong experience designing, building, and managing ServiceNow integrations, APIs (REST/SOAP), data sources, and automated workflows to ensure seamless connectivity with enterprise systems and third-party tools
  • Working knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies, practices, and supporting tools to facilitate collaborative, iterative development and deployment processes
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders, work effectively in cross-functional teams, and resolve complex issues under pressure

Nice To Haves

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist certifications in ITSM and/or ITOM strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Contribute expert input to the design and standards for ServiceNow solutions, drawing on industry best practices, platform capabilities, and evolving business requirements to strengthen architectural direction
  • Implement and configure high-quality solutions, adhering to approved architectural designs, enterprise standards, and governance guidelines to deliver reliable, scalable outcomes
  • Collaborate with Architects to rigorously evaluate proposed solutions against captured business requirements, ensuring strong alignment with the organization's ITSM strategy, roadmap, and long-term objectives
  • Provide constructive feedback on design documentation updates and maintain comprehensive, accurate, and current technical documentation for all solutions to support compliance, knowledge sharing, and future enhancements
  • Independently manage the technical delivery of ServiceNow projects, incorporating team input, proactively mitigating risks, and requiring minimal escalation to achieve on-time, high-quality results
  • Support platform Administrators during system upgrades, patches, and migrations by validating compatibility, testing functionality, and ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations
  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex issues across associated technologies, performing advanced troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolution of platform and integration challenges to restore service efficiently and prevent recurrence
