Role description: Arcadis seeks a Mid to Senior ITS / Traffic Signal Technician with a wide variety of experience to join the team in Atlanta, GA. In this role you will assist our growing ITS & Traffic engineering group on various projects in Metro Atlanta and the Southeast. This is an excellent opportunity with great potential for growth! Requirements
- High school diploma level education or equivalent,
- 6 or more years of experience in specialist/technical area of work
- Willingness to work at heights
- IMSA Traffic Signal Technician or the willingness to obtain after hire
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate a willingness to work at heights and be prepared to travel to assignments throughout the Southeast United States with the core work area being Metro Atlanta. They should possess knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, along with technical experience working with traffic signals, CCTVs, Ethernet switches, travel time readers, and wireless technologies. Strong customer service experience is required, as well as good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities
- Maintenance and Repair of Traffic Signal and ITS devices (Reactive, Proactive and Preventative Maintenance)
- Demonstrated knowledge of CCTV systems including troubleshooting and investigation of issues.
- Troubleshoot traffic signal components and devices
- Quickly respond to notifications from the client
- Become familiar with client ITS network and communications architecture
- Demonstrate experience with client traffic signal systems
- Traffic signal ground and aerial preventative maintenance
- Should be skilled in network communications troubleshooting and repair including fiber, and repair of breaks between switches/hubs using an OTDR.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience with Microsoft Word and Excel and development of written reports.
- Supporting the apprenticeship and training of junior ITS / Traffic Signal Technicians.
