About The Position

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented ITS Maintenance Team Leader to join our team in Herndon, VA! In this role you will support multiple clients through overseeing maintenance and installation of many different types of technologies along the roadside. We are looking for self-driven and motivated individuals who like a challenge and are willing to work hard to ensure safety to the traveling public.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or construction-related field (or equivalent)
  • 10+ years related work experience and
  • 3+ years in a leadership role at a field site
  • Electronics troubleshooting experience required.
  • Ability to work outside in all types of weather.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. for short distances.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible hours with possible rotational on-call as needed.
  • Ability to properly hear and understand or interpret verbal job site instructions and properly perform such instructions in English.
  • Must be able to pass Parsons and client background check and drug screening.
  • Follow the safety rules and regulations of the Company, Client & OSHA regulations.
  • Safe handling and use of all equipment assigned.
  • Ability to understand installation manuals for all various types of equipment (CCTV, VDS, Field Switches, Encoders, Decoders, DMS).
  • Calm and professional demeanor through all communication mediums.
  • Driver’s license required. (Must be able to meet our insurance requirements.)
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plan sheets and lead in execution.

Nice To Haves

  • Willingness to travel both within state and out of state as needed <5%
  • CDL and forklift experience are a plus.
  • Virginia Workzone Safety certification is a plus.
  • ITS Industry experience is a plus.
  • Networking or Fiber experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Willingness to be the on-site example and technician as required by tasks.
  • Train others in safety, computer work and electronics maintenance and installation.
  • Create on-call schedule and supervise junior staff.
  • Serve as the liaison between staff and customers.
  • Track progress on all tasks and report up on a regular basis.
  • Subcontractor tracking and review of work complete, invoices and pay application payouts.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Work with administrative and inventory staff to assist in maintaining reports and inventory requirements.
  • Read contract documents and be familiar with all content related to our scope.
  • Quality Assurance for all tasks completed by staff you oversee.
  • Develop as-built documentation as required by various customers.
  • Work with administrative staff to order parts and materials as needed depending on tasks.
