About The Position

The ITS Epic Analyst III position at ProMedica involves high-level participation in the planning, design, development, training, implementation, communication, maintenance, and evaluation of applications related to healthcare operations. This role requires expertise in managing software applications and serving as a mentor for less experienced IT staff. The analyst will also be responsible for project management tasks and ensuring the effective use of information technology within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience upon hire.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in healthcare information technology.
  • Exceptional knowledge of assigned clinical software applications and healthcare operations.
  • Strong self-motivation, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead a team and demonstrate and transfer pertinent knowledge/skills for all analytical tools needed to be effective.
  • Applicable Epic certification, with maintenance of certification being mandatory.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree or 3 years' experience in Information Technology.
  • IT background with effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Task management and problem-solving skills.
  • Project management and leadership experience.
  • Strong desktop tool usage including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Technical support background.
  • 7+ years of applicable business or healthcare experience.
  • Multiple Epic certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Participates with technical teams and vendors for the design of application infrastructure, hardware, storage, network requirements, security, integrations, viewing and workflow.
  • Plans implementations and upgrades clinical systems.
  • Ensures adequate testing, quality assurance and documentation of changes.
  • Transfers knowledge and/or trains IT employees and advises end-users in the operation of their information systems.
  • Responsible for the activities like analysis and development, implementation, modification, and installation of low complexity systems in different operational environments.
  • Creates and follows project plans and participates in team meetings.
  • Monitors system performance and quality, planning for decommission of responsible applications when indicated.
  • Supports 24/7 on-call on a rotational basis.
