About The Position

The Itinerant Visual and Performing Arts Teacher will be responsible for teaching Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) at multiple elementary school sites within the Glendale Unified School District. This role aims to maximize student achievement and foster social and emotional growth in a diverse and inclusive environment. The teacher will engage with students from various backgrounds and utilize effective pedagogical skills to enhance their learning experience.

Requirements

• Valid Multiple Subject Credential authorized by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
• Valid English Learner Authorization such as CLAD, ELA1, ELAS, or similar for designated English Language Development instruction.
• Effective skills in working with English Learner (EL) students.
• Strong pedagogical skills and breadth of experience in educational technology.

• Experience with 21st Century instructional practices.
• Bilingual skills in languages spoken by the student population.
