As an Items Analyst at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, you will play a key role in supporting global military operations by ensuring timely and effective supply chain performance. This early career opportunity is ideal for individuals eager to apply their foundational knowledge of logistics, inventory management, and supply planning in a fast-paced aerospace environment. You’ll work collaboratively across functional teams to forecast demand, manage inventory, and implement solutions that improve aircraft availability and mission success. With a focus on innovation and continuous improvement, you’ll help streamline logistics processes and contribute to the readiness of some of the world’s most advanced defense systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Engineering, Economics, Supply Chain, Logistics, Data Analytics.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, specifically MS Excel utilizing pivot tables and other Excel related functions
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • This position will require a government security clearance.
  • This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and an ability to think critically in a high tempo customer-centered environment.
  • Experience with data tools or programming languages such as Tableau, SQL, Python, etc., including applied knowledge of MS Excel and data analytical skills and proven and demonstrated functionality.
  • Experience with stakeholder/customer relationship management
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure material availability in support of aircraft maintenance and operations.
  • Analyze supply and demand data to identify trends, forecast requirements, and mitigate potential shortages or excesses.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams—including procurement, logistics, engineering, and operations—to resolve supply chain constraints and support mission readiness.
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies that optimize performance, reduce costs, and improve fleet availability.
  • Track material flow, delivery timelines, and performance metrics to support timely execution of logistics plans.
  • Leverage data analytics and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement in supply chain operations.
  • Support the implementation of innovative technologies and tools that enhance supply planning and inventory visibility.
  • Contribute to the development of process documentation, training materials, and reporting tools to support operational excellence.
