About The Position

The Item Setup Associate works closely with the Purchasing, EDI, and apparel teams, maintaining positive relationships while achieving deadlines. They must be able to work independently and cross-functionally with different teams to prioritize job duties. Communication skills are a vital part of being an Item Setup Associate. They must communicate with multiple departments and vendors to provide information and solve problems. They are also expected to communicate with all people involved in the buying process and deal with any problems that may arise.

Requirements

• Knowledge and personal experience in golf, golf related products, apparel, or sporting goods is required.
• Proficiency and comfortably in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is required.
• A positive, customer-centric attitude with a foundation of strong listening skills, and ability to understand and respond to the needs of the Buyers and Buyer Assistants.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with all associates and vendors.
• Ability to learn and retain necessary knowledge related to processing information via multiple inventory and fulfillment operating systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including follow-up.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
• Good organization skills required.

Responsibilities

• Support Buyers and Buyer Assistants with item setup and maintaining the inventory file.
• Maintain knowledge of detailed golf products, merchandise, apparel, and terminology to allow effective inbound and outbound communication with our vendors, retail locations, and internal partners.
• Adaptable to ever changing business circumstances and situations, flexible in approach, knowledgeable in all elements of the business.
• Adhere to all company programs and policies.
• Seek and take advantage of opportunities as it relates to product and service knowledge, job skills, and training.
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned by management.
