About The Position

The Adult and Child Center for Outcomes Research and Delivery Science (ACCORDS) is searching for a Information Technology Professional and Designer to join the growing Family Matters team (Principal Investigator: Dr. Jerica Berge) . This is a great opportunity to be a part of National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded research that is making a difference in the lives of families with school-aged children around Denver, CO and the Twin Cities, MN. You will play a vital role in supporting data collection efforts on a large scale longitudinal cohort study and innovative clinical trial. These studies utilize state-of-the-art data collection methods to examine risk and protective factors for childhood health in low-income and minority households. This position reports to the Principal Investigator. The Information Technology Professional team member will maintain ecological momentary assessment (EMA) and intervention (EMI) servers and troubleshoot issues with the system for participants, as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management/computer information systems, computer engineering, information technology, or a directly related field from an accredited institution
  • A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
  • At least three (3) years of related professional IT experience (server management, website development).
  • Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience programming/designing EMA and EMI from scratch, both frontend and backend design
  • Experience using Mosio, Twilio, and other platforms for EMA integration
  • Experience using RedCap and has knowledge to do Mosio/Redcap integration for EMA and EMI
  • Experience working on designing EMA and EMI in an observational and clinical trial study
  • Experience creating web-based surveys and online trackers for participant data collection in both EMA and EMI studies

Responsibilities

  • Design/build ecological momentary assessment (EMA) servers and websites
  • Maintain ecological momentary assessment (EMA) servers and websites
  • Design/build ecological momentary intervention (EMI) servers and websites
  • Maintain ecological momentary intervention (EMI) servers and websites
  • Troubleshoot participant issues with EMA and EMI for all projects
  • Design/build an online tracking system that interfaces with the EMA/EMI and staff tracking participants
  • Maintain an online tracking system that interfaces with the EMA/EMI and staff tracking participants
  • Oversee/manage server issues that may arise with EMA/EMI or Mosio implementation
  • Attend meetings with study team to design/build and maintain EMA/EMI and online tracking system
  • Assist with paperwork, applications, contracts related to the design/build or maintenance of EMA/EMI platforms and servers
