The IT Trainer for the Advancement Relationship Management system at Penn State will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive training program for the new Salesforce-based CRM system. This role involves creating training materials, facilitating both virtual and in-person training sessions, and providing ongoing support to users. The trainer will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that the training aligns with the division's values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.

  • Design, create, and implement the training program for the new ARM environment.
  • Develop training materials for the new ARM environment.
  • Facilitate informal and self-directed learning, encouraging the use of networks/communities for sharing knowledge and skills.
  • Develop and maintain online, self-help resources for flexible teaching and learning options.
  • Provide individual learner support to help apply learned skills to day-to-day work.
  • Collaborate with clients to assess performance improvement needs and desired learner outcomes.
  • Incorporate feedback in the review and evaluation of the training program and curricula based on employee roles.
  • Use research-based instructional methods to engage trainees and integrate emerging trends into training practices.
  • Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in business process analysis for enterprise systems.
  • Dedication to building relationships with diverse communities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
  • Experience working with technology implementations in Higher Education or a similar complex environment.
  • Experience working with Advancement databases preferred.
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills.
