About the position
Are you a tech-savvy problem solver with a passion for providing top notch end user support? We're looking for an IT Technician with great customer service skills who enjoys working in a fast paced environment, with the tech knowledge to provide superior user application support and contribute to our ever evolving IT Innovations and best practices. Works under the general guidance and direction of the IT Manager to provide technical assistance for the support of PC users, network administration, and IT related projects and tasks.
Responsibilities
- Provide first line response for users requiring assistance with information technology issues and problems.
- Tracks and prioritizes requests utilizing the help desk system.
- Performs replacement of PC's, laptops, and other IT equipment.
- Assists with distributing, configuring, and maintaining city-issued mobile devices.
- Troubleshoots basic computer issues, which include support for hardware, software, mobile devices, as well as printers, scanners, copiers, and other peripherals.
- Coordinates computer and printer repairs by outside vendors.
- Performs administrative support staff duties for the IT division, including new hire IT onboarding and offboarding.
- Provides effective and respectful communication and interactions with other employees, supervisors, individuals from other organizations and citizen customers.
- Follows oral and written instructions such as supervisor's work orders and equipment operation manuals.
- Regular and reliable attendance during scheduled work hours and outside regular hours as necessary.
- Performs essential position duties and responsibilities under the working conditions and physical demands described herein.
- Performs other related functions as apparent or delegated.
Requirements
- Associates or technical degree in information technology or a related field.
- At least two years of solid, full-time IT related work experience.
- At least one year of full-time applicable work experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Minimum three years of IT support experience.
Benefits
- Hiring Range: $32.91 - $34.81/hour
- Salary Range: $32.91 - $41.01/hour
