The Bureau of Network Technology and Telecommunication Services (NTTS) aims to provide DOHMH programs and staff, our external partners and providers, and all citizens relying on our systems and services with a highly reliable and available network infrastructure and services for both voice and data. Resilient and centralized data center services for applications and hosting databases, a customer service-oriented and secure computing environment, and delivery of information technology products and resources that have been designed, engineered and implemented to support and facilitate the agency in all of our initiatives.

  • Maintain network systems (LAN) including desktop PCs, laptops, tablets and other computer peripheral devices such as Wireless network, Wi-Fi connection, secure access Control printers, switches, and network ports, structured network cabling, and UPS devices.
  • Setup AV services and Audio/Videoconferencing to conference rooms in DOHMH facilities.
  • Provide technical support to end-users of Microsoft products, DOHMH in-house applications, and third-party software packages.
  • Perform PC maintenance, hardware and software installation, upgrades, system support, equipment salvages, and inventory tracking.
  • Perform computer diagnostic and troubleshooting processes to resolve network, hardware, and software errors.
  • Create installation and troubleshooting guides for IT staff and end users.
  • Assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future computer hardware needs.
  • Support development and implementation of new computer projects and new hardware installations.
  • Testing and configuring applications for Windows OS environment.
  • Install network switches, network routers, and UPS devices.
  • Perform imaging and encryption of desktop computer, laptops and tablets (iOS & Android).
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hardware and equipment contracts and supervise contract-based installations.
  • Acquisition & Deployment.
  • Evaluate and recommend hardware products for purchase.
  • Conduct research on computer products in support of PC procurement and development efforts.
  • Write technical specifications for purchase of PCs, networking hardware and related products.
  • A certificate from an accredited technical school (approximately 675 hours) with a specialization in computer operations, and two years of satisfactory full-time computer operations experience, in a large-scale networked, multi-tiered, or mainframe computer environment, or two years of satisfactory data communications network experience working in a mainframe or multi-tiered computer environment.
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and three years of satisfactory full-time experience as described in '1' above.
  • A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and four years of satisfactory full-time experience as described in '1' above.
  • A satisfactory combination of education and/or experience equivalent to '1', '2', or '3' above. However, all candidates must have at least two years of full-time experience as described in '1' above.
