About The Position

The IT Technician Level I will work as part of a team responsible for supporting all aspects of facility technology operations. This position supports automation systems, computers, telecommunications, system and network administration, printers, cameras, and field sensors in a packaging or production environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, be dependable, able to troubleshoot issues efficiently, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production setting.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Information Technology or related field required (Preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years of education in IT and/or related experience
  • Knowledge of: Systems and network administration Telecommunications Networking and cabling CAT 5 and fiber optic wiring Network video cameras Basic PC, tablet, and cell phone troubleshooting Network printers
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Visual ability to inspect work areas, read measurements, and identify maintenance issues.
  • Mostly sedentary, requiring extensive computer use, but may include lifting server equipment (up to 25–50 lbs.) or working under desks for cabling.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support for computers, tablets, mobile devices, printers, and related hardware.
  • Assist with system and network administration tasks.
  • Support telecommunications systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues.
  • Assist with networking, cabling, CAT 5, and fiber optic installations and repairs.
  • Support and maintain network video camera systems.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot field sensors, automation systems, and related equipment.
  • Configure and maintain network printers and other connected devices.
  • Assist with hardware installations, upgrades, and replacements.
  • Respond to service tickets and support requests in a timely manner.
  • Document issues, repairs, and solutions for future reference.
  • Work closely with production, warehouse, and operations teams to minimize downtime.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and technology security standards.
  • Participate in weekend or after-hours support as needed.
