  • Must be able to kneel, crouch, or stoop down and pick up small items.
  • Requires normal visual acuity, and field of vision, hearing, speaking, color perception, sense of smell, depth perception, and texture perception.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive key-stroking activity for up to several hours a day.
  • Must be able to tolerate prolonged sitting for up to several hours a day.
  • Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds consistently, with heavier weight necessary at times up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to push/pull objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Associate’s degree in field or higher preferred.
  • Minimum number of years in similar position: 2 years

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Cisco Meraki network technologies, including MX security appliances, switches, access points, and cameras
  • Cisco Meraki certifications or relevant experience with Meraki cloud-managed devices.
  • Familiarity with Zendesk for ticketing and customer support management.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 apps, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the operation and maintenance of the local and wide area networks (LANs and WANs). Monitor network connectivity and performance and suggest means to optimize network performance. Maintain other computer / network related equipment as directed.
  • NOTE: As the business needs of each location may vary, so do the specific tasks. This is intended to be a generalized description.
  • Maintain a database inventory of all hardware and software installed on desktop computers.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and administer the local area networks. (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs).
  • Provide security education and awareness training to users.
  • Implement data, software and hardware security procedures.
  • Disaster recovery operations.
  • Install desktop hardware and desktop operating system software.
  • Perform routine network start up and close down and maintain control records.
  • Configure, install and maintain computer workstations, software products and peripheral equipment according to defined system standards and procedures.
  • Provide problem-solving services to network users.
  • Communicate in person and electronically with computer users experiencing difficulties to determine and document problems they are experiencing.
  • Collect, organize and maintain a problem and solution log for use by other technical support staff.
  • Provide advice and training to users in responses to identified difficulties
  • Research operating system and software application security updates and deploy these updates as required
  • Consult user guides, technical manuals and other documents to research and implement solutions
