The IT Technical Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of strategic IT projects ensuring consistency with and adherence to company strategies, policies, processes, methodologies, commitments, and goals. This role manages and directs the day-to-day activities of one or more projects, including the formulation of project teams, development of project execution plans, and deliverables. The manager leads complex IT projects through the full project life-cycle, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, to successfully deliver assigned projects within agreed-upon constraints such as scope, schedule, labor cost, and quality. Additionally, the role involves developing and executing full-scale project execution plans, managing project budgets and resources, and ensuring effective communication among project stakeholders.

  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of strategic IT projects.
  • Manages and directs the day-to-day activities of one or more projects.
  • Leads complex IT projects through the full project life-cycle.
  • Develops and executes full-scale project execution plans.
  • Manages the project budget and project resources.
  • Directs and utilizes project team resources to deliver assigned projects.
  • Develops and maintains project and/or technical documentation.
  • Acts as Point of Contact (PoC) liaising with business functions.
  • Engages in developing strategic technology roadmaps with business functions.
  • Ensures effective communications exist with and among projects.
  • Briefs upper management on project activities, cost, schedule, status, and technical performance.
  • Participates in departmental management processes such as planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Participates and/or develops procurement deliverables for external services and materials.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Master's degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • PhD.
  • Agile Project Management Certification preferred.
  • ITIL Foundations Certification preferred.
  • ServiceNow experience with Agile Development and Project modules preferred.
  • Highly-motivated with proven ability to develop, lead, and manage multiple concurrent and complex IT related infrastructure and/or application development projects.
  • Knowledge and understanding of project management best practices and processes.
  • Knowledge and understanding of project lifecycle management and software development life cycle.
  • IT project leadership skills focused on control of the classic triple constraints of time, cost, and quality.
  • Ability to manage and direct the activities of multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ability to logically and systematically evaluate project and process problems.
  • Experience in conflict resolution with individuals or a team.
  • Exercises initiative and independent judgment and discretion under limited supervision.
  • Experience serving as a Scrum Master is desired.
  • Experience executing agile projects is desired.
