About The Position

The IT Technical Manager, DevOps is responsible for leading an IT capability, product or service delivery function. This position will be responsible for driving innovation and efficiency through cloud technologies, DevOps practices, Agile methodologies, and product ownership. Responsible for ensuring the overall success of large to complex projects, enhancements and production support through direction, coordination and oversight of a local or global team of employees and professional services. This role will be accountable for maximizing the customer value while being accountable for creating and prioritizing the backlog. Establish and maintain a close working relationship with stakeholders across many businesses ensuring best practices, policies, procedures and tools meet the needs of the customers. Focus on effective time management, delegation, and clear communication to achieve optimized solution delivery across teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years’ experience required: Cloud, DevOps and Leading Product Teams focused on delivering value to customers
  • 5+ years of combined time leading teams as product owner or platform leader

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a talented IT Engineering Team fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning and innovation to drive process improvement and automation.
  • Implement and refine DevOps practices to streamline development while improving the delivery of services to support application platforms.
  • Enhance CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment of applications improving frequency and reliability of deployments to production.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve DevOps processes, incorporating feedback and adopting standard tools to optimize efficiency.
  • Utilize automation to move repetitive tasks around code deployment and provisioning to increase efficiency and reduce human error.
  • Deliver projects, solutions and IT services in support of approved business and technology driven portfolios of work.
  • Prepare and present IT solution recommendations, status updates and business value propositions to the highest levels of business and IT leadership.
  • Develop and execute IT Strategies aligned with Business objectives, focusing on cloud adoption, DevOps practices and Agile Delivery.
  • Leverage multi-vendor relationships and ensure high performing vendor deliveries.
  • Collaborate with and actively support other IT functions to ensure overall IT success.
  • Interact with IT and business leadership to contribute to the IT strategic plan, project portfolio plans, department, and team goals.
