About The Position

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ability to install computers, software, phones, peripheral equipment and configuring software on PCS following the current departmental guidelines. Document daily issues, resolutions and tasks. Answer user questions pertaining to specific software, such as Excel, Word, Outlook, web browsers, Windows OS, custom applications, industry specific applications, and enterprise applications. Set up user accounts in Active Directory and other applicable software. Ship, receive and/or pick up computer equipment to/from other locations, as needed. Assist department in tracking assets by location. Assist end users and peers in resolution of computer software and hardware related issues as Tier 1 phone and local support. Apply personal knowledge of computer software, hardware, and procedures to resolve or elevate to Tier 2 support when applicable. Answer emails and voicemails left by system users in a timely manner. Travel regionally and nationally to remote sites for installations and equipment audits, as needed. Support other I.T. department staff when needed. Keep accurate and legible records. Adhere to all company policies, SOP’s and guidelines. Adhere to all quality, safety, policies, procedures and reporting requirements. Other duties as assigned by Manager. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires ability to safely operate equipment. Requires ability to visually observe the condition of surroundings. Requires ability to hear and speak. Requires ability to stoop, bend, reach, lift and carry items between 20 and 55lbs such as printers and/or servers. Requires ability to climb ladders and stairs of various heights including floors of 50ft or more. Requires ability to work outside of normal business hours or on weekends to meet deadlines on occasion. Requires ability to work in confined spaces frequently. Requires ability to work safely with hazardous chemicals. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Minimal

Requirements

  • Ability to operate basic computer hardware and equipment.
  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to speak clearly and professionally in person and/or via phone, email, chat, etc.
  • Must be able to be work rotating Saturdays.
  • Familiarity with computer networks, intranets, file shares and Windows servers.
  • General knowledge of Windows OS and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Requires ability to read, hear, speak, and comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructions & Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • One year or more experience in RV/Automotive DMS software.
  • One to three years of IT Help Desk experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • CompTIA A+ certified.
