About The Position

The IT Systems Support Specialist at the Brownwood District plays a crucial role in maintaining and supporting the IT infrastructure essential for transportation systems. Requirements

• High School Grad or Equivalent in general studies.
• 4 years of experience providing computer systems support, help desk support, technical support, or related work experience.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical assistance troubleshooting software and hardware problems as well as problems involving office equipment such as phones, printers, and fax machines; escalates difficult problems to a higher level of support.
• Coordinates and performs installation and maintenance of software and hardware updates.
• Monitors incoming technical support requests and responds to technical questions and issues in a timely manner.
• Performs asset inventory of department/division's information technology equipment.
• Assists supervisors with on-boarding and off-boarding of employees' information technology equipment and network access.
• Coordinates, installs, and supports all types of IT equipment including computers, software, and other hardware.
• Maintains computer and hardware inventory records for new and surplus equipment.
• Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems.
• Provides support to end users in a timely manner.
• Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
