PZI is seeking a hands-on IT Systems & Security Technician to provide day-to-day technical support and assist with cybersecurity initiatives. This hybrid role involves managing endpoints through Microsoft Intune, monitoring security alerts via Microsoft Defender, and supporting compliance efforts for frameworks such as SOC 2 and CMMC. The ideal candidate is an IT professional with strong troubleshooting skills and a desire to grow in cybersecurity.

  • Deliver Tier 1-2 technical support and onsite assistance for staff.
  • Manage user onboarding/offboarding in Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, and Entra ID.
  • Enroll and manage corporate devices using Microsoft Intune.
  • Monitor endpoint security with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and respond to alerts.
  • Support patch management, update rings, and Windows Autopatch compliance.
  • Assist with vulnerability scanning and remediation under senior guidance.
  • Maintain compliance documentation for SOC 2, CMMC, and internal policies.
  • Prepare for quarterly internal penetration tests and assist with remediation.
  • Maintain asset inventory and IT documentation.
  • Deploy and manage remote support tools such as Remote Help.
  • Collaborate with DevSecOps leadership to improve security and system reliability.
  • 1-3 years of IT support, helpdesk, or systems administration experience.
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft 365, Teams, Intune, and Entra ID.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, EDR, and patch management.
  • Experience troubleshooting Windows 10/11 devices.
  • Ability to follow structured procedures, document work, and escalate issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer-first mindset.
  • CompTIA Security+, Network+, or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Defender, Nessus, Qualys, OpenVAS).
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (NIST 800-171, SOC 2, CMMC).
  • Basic PowerShell scripting or automation experience.
  • Exposure to incident response or security monitoring.
