We are seeking a highly versatile and proactive IT Systems Integration & Innovation Specialist in our Lenexa office. This role serves as a key technical contributor, providing help desk assistance while taking on advanced responsibilities in system integrations via APIs, mobile device management, development of custom AI-powered tools using company-specific data, collaboration with Network Services, cybersecurity support, and standardization of tools and processes. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys problem-solving across diverse technologies, and is comfortable supporting both internal teams and occasional on-site customer needs.

Requirements

  • Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related technical role.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows/macOS environments, networking basics, and end-user support.
  • Hands-on experience with API integrations (RESTful APIs, JSON/XML, tools like Postman, scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell).
  • Experience with mobile device management platforms (e.g., Microsoft Intune, Jamf, AirWatch/VMware Workspace ONE, or similar).
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity fundamentals (e.g., endpoint protection, access controls, basic threat detection, compliance awareness).
  • Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python preferred) and comfort building automation or simple AI/ML solutions.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing or deploying AI/ML tools using company/internal data
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and integration tools (e.g., Zapier, Make, or custom middleware).
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft MD-102 (Endpoint Administrator), or similar.
  • Previous experience in a field support or customer-facing IT role.
  • Understanding of ITIL principles or process standardization frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first- and second-level help desk support to internal employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and application issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop and maintain API integrations to connect disparate systems, automate workflows, and enable seamless data exchange between internal tools and platforms.
  • Oversee mobile device management (MDM), including provisioning, configuration, security policy enforcement, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management of company cell phones, tablets, and other mobile endpoints.
  • Design, build, and deploy local/custom AI tools and solutions leveraging company-specific data to address organization-unique challenges, improve processes, and enhance decision-making (e.g., using machine learning models, scripting, or low-code AI frameworks).
  • Collaborate closely with the Network Services division on infrastructure projects, network troubleshooting, and joint initiatives to ensure reliable and secure operations.
  • Travel to customer locations or job sites as required to provide on-site technical support, system deployments, or troubleshooting in support of Network Services efforts.
  • Assist with cybersecurity initiatives, including monitoring for threats, implementing security best practices, conducting basic vulnerability assessments, user awareness support, and contributing to incident response when needed.
  • Lead efforts to standardize systems, tools, and processes across the organization to reduce complexity, improve efficiency, and ensure consistency in IT operations.
  • Document procedures, configurations, integrations, and custom solutions to maintain knowledge continuity and support team scalability.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, particularly in AI, integration platforms, MDM solutions, and cybersecurity trends, and recommend improvements.
