The Systems Engineer is responsible for researching, designing, delivering and supporting enterprise endpoint solutions including endpoint management platforms, tools, automation, standards, processes and technology. Provides enterprise endpoint management platforms, tools, solutions, processes and standards that enable our customers to be productive while maintaining a secure environment that optimizes Sanford's endpoint asset return on investment. Designs, develops, implements and supports the Active Directory endpoint organizational unit structure. Owns the group policies / compliance items, security groups and filtering in order to enforce security compliance and standardizing configurations across the enterprise. Designs, develops and implements monitoring, controls, reporting and standardization for provisioning end point security, operating systems and applications by engineering, implementing, and supporting the following tools and platforms: Windows Defender, Bitlocker Encryption w/enterprise management, Applocker, Windows Firewall, Device Guard, ChromeOS G-Suite, Dell Wyse Thin Client Management Studio, Parallels Mac management, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (ECM/SCCM) and client-based virtual desktop infrastructure platforms. Utilizes PowerShell, XML, VBScript, JSON scripting, Windows command shell, BASH, Shell and other scripting languages, management platforms and script developer tools to automate endpoint management functions, compliance, reporting and standardization. Develops knowledge base articles and architecture documentation, transferring knowledge to the technical communities. Collaborates with Management, Systems Architect, users and customers to define, develop and implement solutions for complex endpoint problems and new opportunities. Defines, develops, supports, documents and transitions knowledge for the use of management platforms, tools and standards for packaging and delivery of enterprise applications and security patches. Provides expert level application packaging guidance to other team members to solve requests of varying complexity. Identifies, tests, standardizes and transitions support for new endpoint hardware, operating system and core application configurations. Develops and implements endpoint reporting solutions including reporting platforms and report development. Use SQL Server Reporting Services, Microsoft Desktop Analytics, Microsoft Power BI, ECM/SCCM, LAN Sweeper, T-SQL, Microsoft Report Developer and other platforms and tools to build and publish reporting for obtaining endpoint usage, reliability, performance and asset information. In conjunction with management and the systems architect, researches, identifies, develops and delivers endpoint technology opportunities that allow Sanford to scale, grow and transform. Develops and justifies business cases that add value to Sanford. Maintains abreast of changing technology and industry disrupters to determine opportunities. Establishes and delivers the endpoint management, operating system and hardware life-cycle road maps. Resolve on-going service delivery disruptions through problem management and provide advanced technical support to team members for resolving third level problems. Must have a strong understanding of information security, system hardening, and implementing proactive measures to protect the infrastructure. Must have extensive working knowledge in the implementation, configuration and maintenance of endpoint management platforms and related operating systems, infrastructure applications, which may include Windows, Chrome, Mac, Linux, Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, VMware Horizon, Desktop as a Service (Daas). Must have excellent interpersonal skills to provide the appropriate support and communications to a variety of stakeholders.
