About The Position

The IT Systems Analyst, under the direction of the Director of Kewadin IT, is responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing improvements to Kewadin's casino gaming systems. This position will also contribute to the efficient operation of the gaming infrastructure, ensuring a seamless and secure gaming experience for our customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or five years of proven experience in application support, preferably in a gaming or casino environment required.
  • Two years of experience supporting computer systems in a business environment required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the Sault Tribe Insurance Department.
  • Must undergo a criminal background investigation done under the rules of the National Indian Gaming Commission.
  • Knowledge Gaming & Hospitality IT Systems: In-depth understanding of IT systems and infrastructure specific to the gaming and hospitality industry, including slot machines, table games, point-of-sale, hotel property management systems, and security systems.
  • Enterprise Applications and Data Systems: Strong knowledge of enterprise applications used in the gaming and hospitality industry, such as back-office ERP, slot accounting systems, table game systems, point-of-sale, marketing, player tracking systems, and hotel property management systems.
  • Data Analysis: Understanding of data analysis principles and tools to identify trends, generate reports, and support decision-making.
  • Project Management and Change Management: Familiarity with project management methodologies and change management processes to ensure smooth implementation and user adoption of IT initiatives.
  • Cybersecurity: Working knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and procedures to maintain system security and data integrity.
  • Skills Technical Support: Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with enterprise applications and data systems.
  • Training and Development: Skilled in providing user training on enterprise applications and system functionalities.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Ability to analyze data, generate reports, and translate technical data into actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Highly analytical and resourceful in resolving complex technical problems with minimal disruption to operations in a 24/7/365 environment.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document issues, collaborate with users and internal IT teams, and present technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of casino gaming systems to identify areas of improvement, efficiency, and optimization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document system requirements for enhancements and new features.
  • Design system solutions, considering both technical feasibility and user needs.
  • Oversee the implementation of system enhancements, updates, and integrations with a focus on minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth transition.
  • Work closely with IT teams and external vendors to ensure the successful deployment of gaming and hospitality system improvements.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans to validate the functionality and performance of gaming and hospitality systems.
  • Document and report any defects or issues and collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution.
  • Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard customer data, financial transactions, and gaming integrity.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of system designs, configurations, and changes.
  • Create user guides and training materials to facilitate the adoption of new gaming and hospitality systems.
  • Implement monitoring tools to track the performance and health of gaming and hospitality systems.
  • Analyze system performance data to identify areas for optimization, scalability improvements, and resource allocation adjustments.
  • Ensure gaming and hospitality systems adhere to industry regulations and compliance standards.
  • Implement security measures to protect customer data and integrity.
  • Provide support to casino staff and end-users by assisting with technical issues and questions related to gaming and hospitality systems.
  • Provide support to Kewadin staff and end-users by assisting with technical issues and questions related to gaming systems.
  • Conduct training sessions to educate users on new system features and functionalities.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams for system improvement steps.
