Bucks County Community College is seeking a skilled IT Systems Analyst to join our IT team. As the IT Systems Analyst, you will need extensive knowledge of programming languages, scripting, and software development life cycle frameworks. You must be familiar with a variety of operating systems and platforms and bring an analytical mindset and a keen eye for detail. In this role, you will direct the development team in system testing, validation procedures, and work closely with users on technical issues, including software system design, testing, and maintenance.

  • Oversee the collection of client requirements and translating them into application features.
  • Collaborate with IT operations, IT support specialists, and functional end-users to define specifications for new or redesigned applications and features.
  • Troubleshoot issues at the infrastructure, configuration, or application level and serve as point of escalation for user-reported incidents.
  • Manage and maintain connections between applications, data warehouse platforms, and cloud systems via APIs and integration tools.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation, including installation guides, configuration settings, troubleshooting steps, and support system reference documentation.
  • Support staff and faculty with issue resolution, training, and functional guidance on legal-specific tools.
  • Coordinate with vendors for patch delivery, issue troubleshooting, and application roadmap discussions.
  • Bachelor’s degree, or associate’s degree with relevant experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience supporting enterprise software in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Student Information System (SIS) experience required.
  • Advanced understanding of how enterprise applications operate in Microsoft environments, including infrastructure dependencies, access controls, and upgrade/patching processes.
  • Hands-on experience with user focused support or, equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with software patching, issue resolution, supporting student applications, lifecycle support, and system updates.
  • Knowledge of system integration methods (API use, file-based transfer, basic scripting).
  • Excellent documentation skills, attention to detail, and strong time management abilities.
  • Workday Platform and Student system experience preferred.
