About The Position

An Aerospace manufacturing company located in Seattle, WA is currently hiring for a motivated and detail-oriented IT Systems Administrator to join their IT team. This role will be responsible for managing Active Directory accounts, assisting with new hardware and software deployments, and providing Tier 1 technical support to end-users. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, highly organized, and ready to contribute to maintaining a secure and efficient IT environment. Applicants must be located in WA for consideration, as this opportunity is 100% onsite in Seattle, WA Pay - $35/hr. ($72,800/yr.) - $40/hr. ($83,200/yr.) Location - Seattle, WA (SODO Area) - 100% Onsite

Requirements

  • Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Basic understanding of Windows OS, Active Directory, and networking concepts.
  • Familiarity with common office productivity software.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced IT environment.
  • Aptitude is absolutely important (ability to learn and be curious about how things work, as the IT Director will have a lot to teach and share his knowledge)
  • Some knowledge of scripting
  • PowerShell (Important), Solid Understanding of Network (TCP, SSH, etc.), SQL (Would be great), Relational Databases (Beneficial), VBA (Beneficial)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ticketing systems or IT service management tools.
  • Exposure to hardware deployment, imaging, or mobile device management.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain Active Directory (AD) accounts, including user creation, modification, and deactivation.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding employees, ensuring proper account setup and access rights.
  • Support the deployment of new hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Provide Tier 1 support for end-user issues, including password resets, software troubleshooting, and basic network connectivity problems.
  • Document support requests, resolutions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to sr. IT staff as appropriate.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of IT assets.
  • Participate in IT projects, including upgrades, migrations, and process improvements.
