About The Position

The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability of systems and networks. This role involves troubleshooting, configuring, and upgrading hardware and software, as well as providing technical support to end-users. This position would also provide IT-related support for our clients as required for the successful operation of our products. This position is located in Mitchell, SD. Remote work is not available.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Security, or a related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT systems administration or a similar role
  • Experience with Windows server and desktop operating systems
  • Experience with networking gear including firewalls, routers, and switches
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud computing platforms
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or other cloud computing platforms
  • Experience with Microsoft IIS or other web servers
  • Experience with Microsoft Hyper-V or other virtualization platforms
  • Experience with Linux

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, maintain, and upgrade IT systems, including servers, networks, workstations, and applications
  • Implement and manage security measures to protect data and systems from cyber threats
  • Provide outstanding technical support and assistance to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues
  • Perform advanced root cause analysis for software errors and service outages
  • Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability
  • Configure and manage network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures
  • Ensure IT systems comply with relevant regulations and standards
  • Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new implementations
  • Develop expertise, share knowledge with coworkers on the latest technologies, and provide end-user training as needed
  • Some travel may be required.
