Tom Wood Group, in Indianapolis IN is looking for a hands-on, dependable IT System Administrator (Tier I / Tier II) to support day-to-day technology operations across our locations - from point-of-sale systems to back-office infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-location support environment and enjoys problem-solving in a dynamic retail tech environment.

  • Provide Tier I & Tier II IT support to end-users across all locations (support from a centralized office location in Indianapolis, Indiana)
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues across Windows-based environments
  • Support dealership management software and office technology
  • Maintain, monitor, and update systems including desktops, servers, switches, firewalls, and printers
  • Manage user identities, access, and policies via Azure AD / Entra ID
  • Assist in onboarding/offboarding employees and provisioning devices
  • Ensure uptime and availability of local networks and Internet connections at all locations
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors for escalated support, services, or hardware replacement
  • Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation
  • Travel to sites for rollouts, upgrades, or troubleshooting
  • 2+ years of experience in IT support or system administration
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Azure AD / Entra ID, and core networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
  • Hands-on experience ideally in retail or automotive environments
  • Familiarity with routers, switches, and firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Cisco, Adtran)
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to handle multiple tasks across distributed locations
  • Required- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed
  • Experience with NinjaOne RMM and ticketing system
  • Microsoft Intune and Mosyle for mobile device management
  • Automotive retail systems (Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK, Dealertrack, etc.)
  • Remote access technologies (VPNs, remote desktop, etc.)
