Responsibilities also include preparing long and short-range plans for application selection, systems development, and acquisition of the resources needed to support them.

  • Provide responsive customer support and troubleshoot network systems.
  • Implement cybersecurity protocols to safeguard data.
  • Act as primary liaison with external IT Providers for the Alachua, FL site.
  • Determine IT goals for the Alachua site within business outlines.
  • Contribute to the continuity of computer services through technical leadership and project coordination.
  • Forecast costs, equipment, and personnel needs for IT projects.
  • Prepare long and short-range plans for application selection and systems development.
  • Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software components.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex network issues related to connectivity, security, and performance.
  • Help business operations groups utilize information systems to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure computer equipment, hardware, and software are updated to meet organizational needs.
  • Perform regular security monitoring to identify intrusions and vulnerabilities.
  • Identify technologies for task automation and implement them efficiently.
  • Provide systems network support and security, including patches and firewalls.
  • Stay updated with advancements in networking technologies and best practices.
  • Document network configurations, changes, and technical procedures.
  • Manage backup and restoration for validated systems.
  • Set up and support audio and video equipment.
  • Manage and maintain Hyper-V and VMWARE clusters.
  • Manage and maintain Microsoft Azure and Office 365 Tenant.
  • Manage and maintain Intune, SharePoint, Exchange, and Defender for Endpoint.
  • Support remote users stationed globally.
  • Communicate user needs and issues to external and offsite IT teams.
  • Present project status reports to management and project teams.
  • Perform gap analysis of validation documentation, systems, and practices.
  • Generate, review, and update computer system related policies and procedures.
  • Develop and review various types of system validation and infrastructure qualification documentation.
  • Support Change Management initiatives to maintain GMP compliance.
  • Work closely with system owners to implement new computerized systems or upgrades.
  • Coordinate validation/qualification activities and serve as the subject matter expert.
  • Manage vendor relationships.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Associate's degree or higher, required.
  • 2-3 years managing and maintaining a Hyper-V and VMWARE cluster, required.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferred.
  • 2-3 years' experience in CCNA or Security+ certification preferred.
