This position involves planning, installing, administering, and maintaining storage, storage area network (SAN), and backup & recovery systems. The role includes managing and monitoring software for these technologies, coordinating activities related to provisioning, monitoring, performance, availability, and capacity management across multiple platforms. Additionally, the position requires planning and configuring system, application, and database backups, as well as recovery methodologies for all backups, using disk and tape-based enterprise backup and recovery platforms. The successful candidate will proactively administer and monitor storage and backup & recovery systems, develop repeatable processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs), and assist management with strategic planning of storage and backup technologies.
