The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Technology Services Division in Helena. This position is responsible for the performance of computer systems including, computers, desktop applications, and peripherals. Diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware, software and connection issues, other duties include: 1) Providing user support to minimize interruptions in network and computer systems; 2) Providing technical expertise and mentoring to staff on all levels; 3) Supporting the integration and transition to new computer and network technologies. The Department of Public Health and Human Services has 3,000 computers located in over 80 offices statewide.

  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware, software and connection issues.
  • Providing user support to minimize interruptions in network and computer systems.
  • Providing technical expertise and mentoring to staff on all levels.
  • Supporting the integration and transition to new computer and network technologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • Three years of experience in computer support or network administration.
  • Knowledge and experience in desktop hardware, operating systems, software configurations, and typical computer operations.
  • Ability to research, investigate, and evaluate new technologies.
  • Highly skilled in providing quality, effective customer service and technical support.
