About The Position

Boulder Imaging is seeking an IT Systems Technician to help deliver and support our end-user environment, covering desktop and laptop systems, business systems and applications, and assist with system builds for our cutting-edge machine vision/AI inspection technology. This role will assist with end-user support, the configuration and delivery of PC and server systems for various projects, and use tools for server configuration, troubleshooting, and diagnosing software, networking, and hardware issues. This role will also assist with IT Operations, Service Delivery, Configuration Management, and documentation.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of and proficiency in PC configurations and PC software including Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to troubleshoot power, network, and system-oriented challenges.
  • Experience with server hardware (Supermicro/Dell).
  • Experience with out of band server management (Supermicro IPMI/Dell iDRAC).
  • Experience with Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization.
  • Experience with bare metal imaging solutions.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with an aptitude to learn new technology.
  • Comfortable in solving problems that are complex, abstract, or vague.
  • Passion for working with cutting-edge technical applications while delivering quality customer service.
  • Highly motivated and willing to devote time and effort to accelerated learning.
  • Ability to meet pressing deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Ideally 2-5 years of experience in related fields such as desktop support and basic server configuration and deployment.

  • Prior experience in computer vision, wind energy, or manufacturing industries.

Responsibilities

  • This position will be the first point of contact for Windows Desktop related issues and helpdesk.
  • Implement, support, and document (i.e. inventory) laptops, desktops, and server systems (chiefly running Microsoft Windows with some Linux) and other IT equipment (docking stations, monitors, UPS, etc.).
  • Perform initial system configurations and deployments for new employees and device upgrades.
  • Ensure end-user systems, applications, and tools perform as needed.
  • Assist with new user on boarding and IT training.
  • Conduct regular system patching, updates, and upgrades.
  • Monitor system configuration to prevent interruptions and breakdowns.
  • Assist with automation improvements and system deployments.
  • Follow procedures for installation, configuration, and Quality Assurance and complete the related quality records for product systems.
