About The Position

The IT System Administrator II is an experienced technical position within IT Enterprise Architecture team, responsible for the support, installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of hardware and software systems throughout Golden Valley Health Centers (GVHC). This includes evaluation and implementation services of new products, technologies and solutions to address organization wide business requirements. Schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm at our Atwater Site.

Requirements

  • Significant experience administering Windows servers, storage arrays and virtualization technologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of Active Directory Domain Services, Active Directory Certificate Services, Group Policy Management, DNS, Web Server IIS and Window Server Update Services.
  • Understanding of networking technologies including routers, switches, wireless, firewalls, and the various components of the LAN/WAN infrastructure.
  • Demonstrates effective communication and problem-solving.
  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies, including development of project timelines, scope, task and deliverable tracking, leading project meetings and conducting service transition.
  • Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell and Python.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology discipline and minimum four (4) years of relevant network and/or system administration experience OR Associate’s degree in Information Technology discipline and six (6) years of relevant network and/or server administration experience required.
  • Must possess a valid Class C California Driver’s License, acceptable driving history and proof of liability insurance.

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified Solution Associate (MCSA) or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification strongly preferred.
  • Epic Client Systems Administrator (ECSA) certification within six (6) months of hire or transfer into position required.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain and update server and data storage infrastructure components to provide optimal security, performance and availability.
  • Lead medium complexity projects involving one or more team members to design, install, implement new or modify existing systems.
  • Provide tier 3 support to identify, diagnose and resolve incidents and problems.
  • Collaborate with vendors as required to support all network services and computer systems.
  • Create knowledge articles, logical diagrams, physical diagrams and other supporting documentation.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts and utilize PowerShell or other scripting technologies to address medium complexity automation opportunities that improve processes and reduce support efforts.
  • Install, upgrade, maintain and support Epic ancillary applications Web Blob, Interconnect, Hyperspace Web, EPS, BCA, System Pulse Kuiper and other Epic client systems.
