About The Position

The IT Support professional at Wyoming Horse Racing LLC plays a crucial role in ensuring that the company's computer software and hardware remain functional and accessible for all employees. This position is not remote, and the individual will be responsible for resolving IT support requests from employees, answering questions regarding computer systems, and gathering and analyzing data to diagnose problems. The IT Support professional will also be tasked with changing configurations, settings, and permissions to fix computer issues, generating sign-ins for new hires during the onboarding process, and installing new software and hardware drivers while updating existing ones as needed. In addition to these responsibilities, the IT Support professional will keep employees updated on the status of their service requests, log all service requests, and update tickets as necessary. Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to computers, printers, and other hardware devices will be a significant part of the role, as well as addressing a wide range of network and hardware issues, including HHR terminals. The position requires support for Windows OS configuration and PC and laptop hardware, along with other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will possess a high-level knowledge of commonly used software, hardware, and applications, along with strong oral and written communication skills to effectively gather information from employees and explain complex technical concepts in simple terms. Analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for troubleshooting and diagnosing issues, as well as time management skills to provide timely updates and fixes. The ability to multitask and assist multiple employees simultaneously, along with observational skills to recognize potential problems, is also important. Customer service skills are necessary to interact professionally and positively with employees and coworkers.
