About The Position

The IT Support Technician is tasked with providing advanced technical support, playing a crucial role in the maintenance and enhancement of the organization’s IT infrastructure. This role involves diagnosing and resolving high-level technical issues, contributing to IT projects, and supporting cybersecurity measures. This is a full-time benefits eligible position, with an hourly range starting at $25 an hour.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field is preferred
  • CompTIA A+ and/or Network + certifications are preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a desktop support role.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Experience with Windows/macOS, Microsoft 365, and endpoint security tools
  • Valid Driver’s License with the ability to operate company vehicles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Proven ability to adapt to new technologies and respond effectively to IT incidents.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to self-guide work and doesn’t require day-to-day direction

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Azure is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve advanced technical issues across hardware, software, and networks.
  • Conduct routine system checks and updates to ensure the security and efficiency of IT systems.
  • Handle and resolve most Tier 1 / Tier 2 helpdesk tickets in a timely manner.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for both internal use and customer support.
  • Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
  • Oversee system performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Manage software/hardware installations, updates, and license allocations.
  • Support network connectivity, Active Directory, VPN, and cloud services like Azure.
  • Implement and maintain Mobile Device Management (MDM) protocols.
  • Facilitate end-user training.
  • Participate in infrastructure project planning and execution.
  • Maintain accurate asset inventory.
  • Periodically travel to other locations within the state to service network infrastructure and provide support
