About The Position

Amentum is seeking IT Support Technicians to provide Tier 2 IT help desk support for our DHS customer at various regional CONUS and OCONUS facilities. This role is crucial in assisting with hardware and software troubleshooting, as well as providing video teleconferencing and remote support. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and follow-through, ensuring that all IT issues are resolved efficiently and effectively. In this position, you will be responsible for providing LAN administrator support, which includes the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network communication devices, servers, network storage arrays, and tape backup units. You will also support network-attached devices such as computers, printers, fax machines, biometric devices, electrocardiograms, x-ray machines, smart displays, and sensors. Additionally, you will assist with mobile and wireless devices, including smartphones, tablets, and hotspots. Your role will involve testing, applying, and maintaining server configurations and related security patches, as well as monitoring the health of systems and backups, including conducting restore testing. You will be expected to monitor ITSM (ServiceNow) assignment groups and apply troubleshooting techniques to resolve tickets. Furthermore, you will conduct new equipment deployments and provide requested deployment support, including the installation and maintenance of video teleconferencing infrastructure.
