About The Position

The IT Support Technician at Orora Packaging Solutions is responsible for analyzing, problem-solving, and enhancing the enterprise OPS infrastructure, with a focus on supporting Windows and Macintosh environments. This role involves providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT services for coworkers. The technician will engage in various tasks including hardware and software installation, system monitoring, and collaboration with other teams to develop technical solutions.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in IT support, specifically with Windows 10, Windows 11, and Macintosh systems.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and video conferencing technologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Technical certifications such as A+ Certification or MCP are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, problem-solve, and enhance the enterprise OPS infrastructure.
  • Specialize in supporting Windows and Macintosh environments, online cloud services, and audiovisual technologies.
  • Install hardware and software systems, maintaining or repairing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot a variety of computer issues and set up computer security measures.
  • Configure computer networks and offer technical support via phone or email.
  • Consult with users to determine hardware, software, or system specifications and improvements.
  • Engage in the design, development, documentation, and analysis of computer systems based on user specifications.
  • Monitor and maintain existing systems, performing performance analysis and necessary operations.
  • Collaborate with users to identify and enhance computer systems and specifications.
  • Problem-solve escalated tickets and issues from other teams.
