About The Position

IT Support Technician II Reporting to the IT Service Desk Lead, the IT Support Technician II serves as the first point of contact for technical support for both local and remote users. This role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware and software issues, providing technical guidance, and supporting IT projects aligned with company priorities.

Requirements

  • Holds an Associates or Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Has 2+ years of experience as an IT Service Desk Technician or similar role.
  • Has experience with desktop operating systems, including Windows 10 and 11.
  • Is proficient in supporting desktop applications, particularly Microsoft Office 365 and Teams.
  • Has experience with identifying and remediating virus and malware infections.
  • Possesses knowledge of computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Has familiarity with Windows Active Directory services, including Domain, Group Policy, and AD Objects.
  • Has excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Possesses strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using the ServiceNow ticketing system.
  • CompTIA A+ Certification or equivalent.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to local and remote users via the IT service desk ticketing system.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues for: Desktop and laptop computers PC peripherals (monitors, keyboards, mice, and other accessories) Desk phones, mobile phones, and headsets Printers and barcode scanners
  • Install and support PC software applications.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
  • Support and maintain conference room audio and video equipment.
  • Set up and configure new computers, ensuring proper user access and security settings.
  • Manage user accounts across systems (network, email, phone, security, etc.).
  • Maintain desktop systems with updates, patches, and security fixes, including OS, antivirus, and malware protection.
  • Track and manage IT inventory to ensure accurate records.
  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve technical issues.
  • Participate in IT-related projects, contributing to company initiatives.
