About The Position

The IT Support Technician position at Alta California Regional Center (ACRC) is responsible for providing technical support for the organization's information technology operations. This includes installation, configuration, and maintenance of PCs, software applications, and network operations. The role involves troubleshooting technical issues, assisting with LAN/WAN support, and delivering effective Help Desk support to end-users. The technician may also travel to branch offices as needed and is entrusted with handling sensitive information securely.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or one year of college/technical school plus one year of paid related experience.
  • 1 year of professional experience for IT Support Technician I or 2 years for IT Support Technician II in a large organization.
  • Advanced knowledge of personal computer systems, printers, monitors, and various software applications.
  • Experience with Microsoft products and operating systems, database applications, and word processing programs.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in customer support or related fields.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Terminal Services, Active Directory, Sophos, Web programming, and Ghost.

Responsibilities

  • Provide installation, configuration, and maintenance of PCs and software applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems and issues.
  • Assist with support of LAN/WAN operations.
  • Deliver courteous and effective Help Desk support to end-users.
  • Assist with training of others in the use of technology.
  • Travel to branch offices to perform responsibilities as needed.
