About The Position

The IT Support Technician Associate at Gundersen Health System is responsible for providing first-level technical customer service to healthcare computer end-users. This role involves troubleshooting, installation, and repair of hardware and software, ensuring effective follow-up on reported issues, and maintaining desktop-level support. The position may also require occasional extended hours beyond the standard workweek.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in IT or equivalent years of experience and education.
  • Valid Driver's License (DL).
  • Prior IT Support/Helpdesk work experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical customer service to healthcare computer end-users over the phone and at the workstation.
  • Install and repair hardware and software for end-users.
  • Report and obtain status for all problems related to Information Systems.
  • Track issues and provide effective follow-up to ensure resolution.
  • Maintain PC hardware and software at the desktop level.
  • Work with team members to escalate and resolve issues as needed.
  • Diagnose and identify repair options and implement solutions for end users.
  • Act as a resource for junior positions.
