About The Position

Job Summary: This is an entry-level posit ion reporting to the IT & Finance Manager and will support PFC’s Network and POS systems and its users by inputting data additions and changes and creating reports as needed. Status: Hourly $20 - $21 per hour Reports to: IT & Finance Manager Work Location: On-site in Rochester or La Crosse Store Schedule: Monday - Friday with flexible start and end times between 8am – 5pm

Requirements

  • A minimum of an associate’s degree in computer sciences or related IT field
  • Familiarity with POS functions and systems
  • Fluency in Excel (using formulas in report creation)

Responsibilities

  • Provide end user IT support, application training and advice as needed.
  • Perform occasional troubleshooting of company-networked systems such as POS/SMS, LAN/WAN connectivity, servers, telephone system, music system, Mettler Toledo scales, computer and other IT hardware or software technical issues.
  • Facilitate communication with Managed Service Providers (MSP) and POS/SMS vendors.
  • Investigate POS/PC equipment failures and advise on replacement needs.
  • Maintain documentation of vendor information and existing systems.
  • Maintain data integrity through POS/SMS database administration.
  • Manage data entry, standardization, updates, and deletions according to protocols.
  • Maintain PLU/UPC/SKU and Member Owner information in SMS.
  • Create shelf tags and signage when necessary.
  • PLU organization and protocol development.
  • Create custom reports
  • Categorical management of SMS (category, report, family, like, sub-department codes).
  • Manage tools for updating costs and prices.
  • Provide feedback and communicate with staff, management, and IT for improvements where IT can affect customer service, department profitability, and other operational matters.
