About The Position
Roxbury Community College (RCC) is an urban, public, 2-year College serving a diverse community including peoples of color, recent immigrants, and nontraditional populations. The Student Jobs Program in the RCC Information Technology Department offers a hands-on opportunity for students pursuing a career in network administration to design, configure, and implement a computer networking lab for student training. The selected intern will work closely with faculty and IT professionals to develop a fully functional lab environment that simulates real-world networking scenarios. This project will focus on building a dynamic lab space equipped to teach students the foundational and advanced skills required to become network administrators. Each Student Job assignment is staffed with a supervisor committed to ensuring that students perform their jobs well, while also developing and mentoring students through uplifting instruction and modeling positive behaviors and attitudes.
