About The Position

The IT Support Specialist at Carter BloodCare is responsible for maintaining and supporting all hardware and IT equipment within the facility. This role involves direct communication with staff regarding incident progress and changes, as well as providing user support for various applications. The position requires regular attendance during office hours and may involve overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • IT certificate or computer-related degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of field experience in customer service and records keeping duties preferred.
  • 1-2 years of working experience with computer equipment preferred.
  • 1-2 years of network and network component experience preferred.
  • Excellent record keeping and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of computer equipment including PCs, monitors, printers, scanners, and phones.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • Ability to follow through on Standard Operating Procedures, Policies, and Guides.

Responsibilities

  • Account for and maintain all hardware including PCs, monitors, printers, scanners, and phones.
  • Communicate with staff to keep them informed of incident progress and notify them of changes or outages.
  • Install, diagnose, repair, and maintain hardware and IT equipment.
  • Provide user support for blood banking and non-blood banking applications.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on IT equipment in a timely manner.
