About The Position

Outlook Group is currently seeking an IT Support Specialist II to join our IT team. We are looking for someone who balances technical grit with excellent communication. In this role, you will manage everything from high-level Active Directory administration to specialized hardware diagnostics, ensuring our production capabilities and security posture remain rock-solid. As a mid-level specialist, you will be expected to drive projects forward independently with minimal oversight while remaining a cohesive member of the IT team, contributing to collaborative group initiatives and cross-departmental goals. This position will be located onsite at our facility in Neenah, WI

Requirements

  • Proficiency in AD, DNS, DHCP, and GPO management (rsop/gpresult).
  • Expert knowledge of Windows 10/11 and understanding of Windows Server 2016-2022.
  • Strong grasp of M365 Admin Center and Entra ID.
  • Experience with Zebra Setup Utilities and thermal printing hardware.
  • Familiarity with patching tools (Intune, Endpoint Central) and remote support software.
  • Self-Direction : Proven ability to manage a personal ticket queue and long-term projects independently.
  • Team Collaboration : Comfortable working in group settings to tackle large-scale infrastructure upgrades or office migrations.
  • Adaptability : Willingness to learn proprietary software and adapt to the evolving security needs of a Tier II environment.
  • Bachelor’s or Associate's degree (in related field) preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience of desktop support (ideally in manufacturing)

Responsibilities

  • User Desktop & Software Support : Provide expert-level support for the modern desktop environment. This includes managing the Microsoft 365 suite (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive), configuring Remote Desktop Apps for secure remote access, and ensuring seamless software delivery across the organization.
  • Identity & Directory Management : Manage the full user lifecycle in Active Directory and Entra ID. Maintain OU hygiene and administer Group Policy (GPOs) to automate deployments and enforce security.
  • System Patching & Compliance : Execute monthly patch cycles for Windows desktops and Servers (2016–2025) using Intune or Endpoint Central to ensure 100% security coverage.
  • Specialized Hardware Support : Serve as the SME for our Zebra thermal printing ecosystem, including network connectivity, label configuration, and hardware maintenance.
  • Advanced Troubleshooting : Act as the primary escalation point for Tier I issues. Provide empathetic support for local and remote staff while documenting new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to build our internal knowledge base.
