About The Position

The IT Support 1 role is the everyday face of IT to the company. The employee will develop basic abilities to successfully triage issues and perform all pertinent tasks as well as embodying Innovative Office Solutions’ core values and brand promise.

Requirements

  • Certificate or degree in related area from college or technical school; one-year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in an environment that requires independent thinking.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with clients, senior management, sales reps, etc. and capable of training users in the use of applications and operating system fundamentals and writing basic documentation.
  • Intellectually curious. Ability to think beyond the basic confines of the role, review data, analyze user and customer needs, and present solutions based on these observations.
  • Highly experienced in all MS Office applications.
  • Must be able to lift computers, printers, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy and support desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, audio visual equipment and related software installs – frequent time-sensitive projects requiring time management skills
  • Onboarding new employees with a goal of 100% satisfaction on day 1 - training on desktop environment, email, phones, etc. as well as ongoing support – requires excellent customer service skills and accuracy in determining employee needs before employee starts.
  • Basic ERP support related to infrastructure (printing, display issues, etc.)
  • Active Directory setup and maintenance
  • Support of internal users on Microsoft Office 365 modules and escalate as needed.
  • Gain basic knowledge of networking environment and setup; assist Network Support Specialists as needed
  • Monitor the IT ticketing system and assign tickets accordingly
  • Flexibility to work infrequent evening or weekends. This work would be scheduled in advance.
  • Some travel required between branch locations within the Twin Cities metropolitan area and possible infrequent travel to non-Twin Cities branch locations.
  • Demonstrates one or more significant advancements in professional development per quarter
