About The Position

The IT Support and Development Engineer will support, troubleshoot, document, and maintain cloud or enterprise financial software applications (e.g., Oracle Fusion, Blackline, Anaplan) in support of business objectives. The role involves working across IT teams to ensure the applications are configured to fully utilize available technologies. The engineer will collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve business processes and enhance productivity by leveraging available technologies. Additionally, the engineer will create custom reports to better utilize system information, maintain user accounts and permissions, and manage access requests as needed. The position also requires reviewing software update release notes, ensuring compatibility, communicating feature changes to stakeholders and end users, and scheduling updates to the system. The engineer will support new implementations, integrations, and enhancements across all platforms.

Requirements

  • Experience with cloud or enterprise financial software applications such as Oracle Fusion, Blackline, Anaplan
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to engage with vendor support and manage escalated issues
  • Experience in data manipulation, auditing, and reporting
  • Knowledge of QA testing processes and documentation
  • Excellent communication skills to keep stakeholders informed

Responsibilities

  • Configure, support, troubleshoot, and maintain cloud enterprise software applications (60%)
  • Act as escalated support for end-users experiencing difficulties with systems
  • Research and identify root causes for problems and own their resolution
  • Engage vendor support as needed
  • Act as a technical and functional expert and power user in all supported applications
  • Ensure documentation is current on all new and existing applications and processes
  • Load, manipulate, audit, and report on data and make complex mass changes, conversions, or other direct data updates as necessary
  • Establish and monitor processes to assess the quality of data and monitor its use throughout the organization
  • Propose, document, and implement new or revised processes to improve data integrity
  • Assist with broadening internal knowledge of application configurations through knowledge transfer training and documentation
  • Coordinate and perform in-depth QA tests, including end-user reviews and test script execution for modified and new systems (30%)
  • Support business partner initiatives including implementations of new technology, integrations, and optimizations within existing tech stack
  • Coordinate with Red Robin staff to evaluate system capabilities and translate operational requirements into configuration and developmental changes
  • Participate in application communities, training, and regional user groups to ensure awareness of current trends and innovation
  • Provide frequent and clear communications regarding the status of initiatives
  • Work closely with product owners and leadership to ensure product innovation and solutions align with strategic direction
  • Apply technical expertise and data analysis to support solution design
  • Provide reporting for end users to ensure data-driven decisions are being met
  • Execute user access requests as needed (10%)
  • Execute offboarding activities as needed
  • Support quarterly/yearly SOX audit activities
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
