About The Position

The IT Support Administrator will serve as Kooner’s primary expert and champion for our new maintenance and dispatch management platform, FLEET IQ. The specialist will learn the system end-to-end from our IT development partners and drive full adaption across all Kooner teams — including technicians, dispatchers, and operations leadership. They’ll ensure every team member is confident using the software while acting as a super-user and liaison for daily technical questions, updates, and ongoing bug or issue management with external vendors. Additionally, this individual will move us from good to great on all IT fronts, helping to establish an environment of service from help desk and desktop support to full environment overhauls. We are looking for someone who is not afraid to get their hands dirty.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of Desktop and Help Desk experience with strong leadership skills.
  • 2-3 years' experience working with data as a decisioning tool.
  • Proven experience within software implementation, technical consulting, or a related client-facing role.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and implementation methodologies.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess data needs and architecture.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Strong functionality with data tools (Python, Excel, ODBC, etc.) and data languages (Dax, M, SQL)
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated with a strong customer-service orientation and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
  • Life-long learner, unafraid to work through problems and creatively solve problems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CRM (e.g., Salesforce), ERP, or other industry-specific software is a plus.
  • Data visualization knowledge is a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Software Mastery & Vendor Liaison Partner with the external IT development company to gain complete technical and functional knowledge of the software.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for ongoing updates, bug reports, and technical escalations with external suppliers.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of system features, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
  • User Training & Enablement In concert with peer experts, develop and deliver training programs (in-person and virtual) tailored to field techs, dispatchers, and management.
  • Create user manuals, quick-reference guides, and walkthrough videos.
  • Act as the company’s super-user for daily operational questions and advanced system support.
  • Track user adoption and identify areas for retraining.
  • Implementation & Rollout Management Lead the staged rollout of existing and upcoming software packages across all Kooner locations.
  • Test and validate updates or new features before release.
  • Gather user feedback to optimize performance.
  • Continuous Improvement & Support Provide Tier-2 and above user support for daily software issues, while maintaining the ability to support Tier-1 on the frontlines as needed.
  • Establish feedback loops with operations teams and vendors for faster issue resolution.
  • Review system performance and user satisfaction regularly, recommending enhancements as needed.
  • Work cross-functionally with external and internal teams (IT, dispatch, technicians, operations) to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Work with the data team to analyze and report trends as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
