The ITD Summer Intern role is designed for students pursuing programming, engineering, or related fields who are interested in automation and process improvement. This internship provides hands-on exposure to programming and automation tools, allowing interns to apply existing skills while developing new ones. Interns will work closely with department representatives to understand team-specific processes, map workflows, and evaluate opportunities to automate portions of those processes. Through a structured learning experience, interns will contribute to meaningful projects while gaining practical, real-world experience in IT operations. This is a remote role in Northeast Ohio requiring in-person work once per week at CC Administration Campus. A caregiver in this role will work Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. This internship will begin end of May through Mid-August (flexible start and end date).

Requirements

• Current college enrollment required
• Can discuss and weigh pros and cons and separate critical issues
• Can make definitive choices, expresses opinions on issues and can explain logical path decisions

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency with MS Office
• Automation or reporting platform experience
• Computer science or computer engineering degree pursuit

Responsibilities

• Research, compile, tabulate, and analyze data and processes for a variety of administrative and departmental matters.
• Assist department personnel in assigned administrative, planning, organizational, technical, and professional tasks.
• Provide suggestions or recommendations with regard to department specific projects.
• Prepare and present reports; draft policies and procedures; respond to requests for information.
