IT Strategic Sourcing Manager
About The Position
The person in this position is responsible for Sourcing Information Technology products, software, and services. Develops a global sourcing strategy for Information technology including communication services, software, hardware and maintenance Defines project scopes and identifies savings opportunities Negotiates and manages contracts and relationships with vendors Leads design and Implementation of policies and metrics to ensure that rigid savings goals are realized using subject matter expertise Advises and works with technical buyers, engineers and management to identify new product needs Serves as primary interface between company components and suppliers on strategic/critical quality, engineering and procurement matters Develops and implements long and short-range sourcing strategies for very complex and high-risk items
Requirements
- Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Requires at least 10 years related experience.
- Broad knowledge of contract law, the RFQ process, supplier and part qualification processes, low cost country sourcing.
- Expert negotiation, presentation, analytical, planning, project management, written, and verbal skills.
- Ability to lead a cross functional commodity team and work across the organization at all levels, and develop strategic commodity plans.
