About The Position

IT@JH Research Data Analytics & Engineering is seeking an IT Sr. Manager who will lead a team of data analysts with the objective of supporting and advancing the management of research data across its lifecycle. The IT Sr. Manager will help support and implement analytic and engineering services to meet the diverse needs of the Johns Hopkins University and Johns Hopkins Medicine research community. In addition to being responsible for all aspects of staff management including recruiting, development, retention, and performance, the incumbent will also have direct responsibility for the design and execution of data analytics solutions to satisfy researcher needs. The IT Sr. Manager will support a complex and dynamic portfolio of projects which could include translation and curation of observational data into the OMOP CDM, data pipelines and best practice architectures to curate multimodal datasets for clinical research, efficient patterns for analyzing large data volumes in HPC environments, and preparation and configuration of research data for use with AI. These projects will leverage IT@JH managed software and involve a variety of data storage and analytics platforms such as Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and Databricks.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree.
Seven years of progressively responsible IT management experience.
Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula

Responsibilities

Represents the interest of the organization at industry, state and federal meetings to ensure that the best interests of the organization are considered.
