About The Position

This role is a hands-on IT Specialist position based onsite in Pittsburgh, aligned to Pacific Time working hours (approximately 11:00AM - 8:00PM ET). You will be a critical part of House Rx’s Security & IT team, responsible for keeping our employees productive, supported, and properly equipped from day one. You will serve as the primary point of contact for employee IT needs, handle traditional IT support requests, and play a key role in building, provisioning, and deploying laptops for onboarding. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the work, values operational excellence, and takes pride in delivering a great internal support experience.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an IT support or IT Specialist role, with hands-on experience supporting users and maintaining tools such as Okta, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and Slack.
  • You are eager to learn, take ownership of issues, and improve systems over time.
  • With your robust analytical acumen, you demonstrate an ability to promptly identify and overcome intricate technical obstacles.
  • Your skill in critical thinking underpins this ability, enabling efficient problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills, allowing you to collaborate seamlessly with diverse teams and articulate complex ideas in a clear manner.
  • You value teamwork and understand the importance of clear communication, especially in a remote-first environment.
  • You have a foundational understanding of IT security principles and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee IT Support requests
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across macOS and Windows
  • Provide timely, clear, and empathetic support to employees across departments
  • Escalate complex issues appropriately while owning communication and resolution
  • Build, configure, and deploy laptops for new hires and replacements
  • Prepare devices with required OS configuration, security tooling, and applications
  • Manage the full device lifecycle including provisioning, shipping, repairs, replacements, and decommissioning
  • Maintain accurate asset tracking and inventory records
  • Support user access and lifecycle events in tools such as Google Workspace, Okta, Slack, Dialpad, and other SaaS platforms
  • Assist with account provisioning, deprovisioning, and access troubleshooting
